YTÜ General Research Projects Success: The Relationship Between Plateau Thickness and Disease Severity in CMAP Scan Curves
Led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Necdet Tuğrul Artuğ, a faculty member of our department, and with Prof. Dr. Selami Beyhan serving as a researcher, the research project titled “Evaluation of CMAP Scan Curves in Patient and Control Groups Using Automated Software: Investigating the Effect of the Thickness of Plateaus in Compound Muscle Action Potentials on Disease Severity," has been awarded funding by the Scientific Research Projects Commission of Yıldız Technical University under the General Research Projects category.
Within the scope of this project, the plateau structures in the CMAP scan curves of ALS patients will be analyzed using artificial intelligence algorithms to investigate their relationship with disease severity. The primary objective is to develop a software infrastructure that objectifies neurophysiological evaluations and provides an innovative decision-support system for physicians.
